Hello---

Love this website - always a great resource. I have been raising laying hens for 2 years now. We currently have 6, another two coming at the end of December (they will be 3 months old then). We got our girls because we wanted the eggs, but we also wanted pest control for the garden (organic vegetables).

I'm looking forward to reading & participating in the forums!

Greetings from Texas! We raise vegetables too, but we've had to fence off our gardens from the chickens because they eat the vegetables (especially the tender young sprouts) as well as the bugs.

I have this same problem.We grow a garden just for the chickens. But they like mine better I guess.
