Hello BYC! Merry Christmas to everyone! I am sorry I have to ask for help on Christmas but any help at all will be very much appreciated.

This morning I went out to our Chicken tractor to go check on the pullets. In the chicken tractor we have 6 smaller pullets and 2 bigger pullets. But this morning I noticed on of the smaller chickens standing inside of the coop with it's head bent down. The pullet was chirping though, and it keeps on moving it's head as if it's trying to pick it up but it can't. It's head is also bent in a pretty weird way and it walks very slow.

I'm going to attach some pictures so I hope that helps. Thank you BYC! And Merry Christmas!!!

This condition is known as wry neck, and can be associated with vitamin E deficiency, a head or neck injury, and is seen in some diseases, such as Mareks or others that affect the brain. The chicken may need help getting enough to eat and drink for awhile. Give human vitamin E 400 IU daily, along with a little egg for selenium, and 1/4 tablet of human B complex. Separate her if she is being bullied. A wire dog crate within the coop would do for that. Hopefully, you will see improvement soon.
