Can I ask how old were the kids holding the chicks?

They are 3/4 year old children, but there was 26 of them and 25 held the chicks fine we held it with them so it was supervised but only one child squeezed we just wasn't quick enough to get him off. I'm very torn up about it as I was holding it too.. I feel so awful.

There was three adults, I was with the child who squeezed the chick so I'm to blame really..
