So my rooster has been sitting down a lot and was the last one to come out of the coop yesterday morning (he's usually first out) I've read that roosters who lay down too much can be because they're growing too fast. He is 4 months and 6 days old. Is he growing too fast? His poop is liquid almost water looking, and we've given him food and water. He eats it.

He's a RIR x Black Australorp we hatched.

That is not normal. It could be an illness making him weak, like coccidiosis, or a vitamin deficiency. Generally he's the age when Mareks will show up too.

Hopefully more knowledgeable people than me will be along give you some advice to try for him.

If his poop is liquid or almost water I'd suspect he could have some sort of illness such as Clostridium and/or coccidia.

This would explain the ruffled feathers, lying down, and watery poop.

Are any other chickens showing any similar signs?

No he is the only one.
