help with candling please :)

All of them are. See that clear spot? That's the Albumen, the lighter yellow is the yolk and that dark spot is the germ spot. Where did you store them at and what was the temp?

My pekin layed her first egg on 11/13 I left it in her box in the best to see if she would sit on it but she didn't she was too busy with my other two... the temp was at least freezing level for the 11/13 one and it was left out for 2 days I'd say.. the next day there was another so I grabbed the first and the second and brought them in to room temperature. I got a 3rd egg then a 4th egg. I stopped there and started to incubate them this monday. The temp is 99 and my humidity is at about 65% right now I check it all the time.

The one with no date on the egg felt the warmest when I got it out of the nest but was still cold.. does that have something to do with why it's more vibrant then the other 3?

Wahooo mine all look like that too. I've just this minute put mine in the bator. Only my second time hatching, first time was when I was a kid and my mum did all the hard work now it's my turn

am I right in believing anywhere between 35 and 55 for humidity? Ty

I've been reading up for weeks wanting to make sure to get it right and I've read so many different opinions I don't know what to think. The most regular was 35-55 for the first 18 days then rise to 70....hopefully someone else can enlighten us...

The reason why I ask is because those eggs seemed that more light was coming through which is usually once the germ spot begins to develop into an embryo. I don't have any way to measure the humidity I just go off of instinct. I get maybe one or two that don't hatch but most do hatch.

How are your eggs doing courtMarie? Candled mine on day 8 and think I only have one growing out of 6 :(
