Help with post bumblefoot issues

Hope it helps. You are not supposed to eat the eggs (or the duck ) until a few days after you have stopped the antibiotics.

She’s on a 3 week stent of antibiotics now and we are one week into it because the bumblefoot still isn’t resolved. X-rays came out good though. Just making sure the infection doesn’t spread to her bone.

That's not unusual. Bumble foot takes a long time. You will need to express the cottage cheese stuff out to help it along. Its not only gross it smells bad too. Sounds like she will be fine. Is she on Bactrim?

Yes, she’s on Bactrim twice a day for 3 weeks. I did get stuff out previously when I was soaking her feet, but now it just appears to be swelling but nothing more is coming out and no scab anymore either. So I’m just keeping it padded the best I can and doing the meds.

She should be good. It just takes time to get rid of staff. Hang in there.
