This is the first time have ducklings and I'm concerned with the breathing it looks so laboured. I have been cleaning there quaters twice a day with brand new clean everything and they have a water bowl they can get there heads right under! Can anyone confirm if this breathing for 12 day old ducklings. I have a video but don't know if it will attach but if you can help please reach out.

Many thanks all x

Almost all the time, we see people's duckling panting/ or breathing heavy, its because their brooder area is too hot.

So my questions area,

What is the temperature of the area in which you're keeping them in?

And, are they acting normal otherwise?

Could you take a video of them panting, upload it to a video platform like Youtube or Vimeo, and copy/paste the link here?

remember, when ducklings are in the brooder they don’t just need a warm area. part of the brooder should have a heat lamp but they should also be able to move away from the lamp to cool down
