My silkie roo was attacked yesterday by my Cochin roo & is only becoming worse.

It appeared yesterday that it was his ear but his eyes were closed and he was super tired. I cleaned him up best I could and brought him inside.

Today it seems as though his mouth is swelling shut with a goo & his eyes are still shut but leaking the same goo.

I’m so so scared that he has some type of brain damage or something and just scared he is hurt too bad to survive. Please help.

I agree with others that this looks like some type of infection with puss in his mouth and eye. It seems to me that the little rooster was attacked because he was sick. With a respiratory disease they may act lethargic, and not move much or eat/drink much. I would bring him in and get him cleaned up, take a close up of the inside of his beak and mouth with some light on it. Post pictures. Clean his eyes and apply some antibiotic ointment into them twice a day. Smell him for a bad odor.

He was not sick. Nothing was wrong with him. One eye is swollen with the slimy stuff coming from it & it’s the same slime that is in his mouth. I’m wondering if it’s like human sinuses & it’s coming out of his mouth because of his eye injury?

What kind of odor should I be looking for? If an odor is present what does this mean? I will smell him when I return

I would still clean his eye and apply some antibiotic ointment twice a day. Can you take a picture of his mouth and beak. He has something in his mouth that looks like pus. It is possible that it is egg or feed. Does his eye look intact? I would try to get him drinking fluids and eating some cooked egg, and try wet feed, tuna, or foods he likes. Is he able to walk?
