One of our Orpington chicks is having some sticky butt issues and I have noticed a weird growth protruding from its bottom. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

Hello. Sorry about your troubles. Unfortunately, the photo is not showing up. How old is your chick that is having this problem?

Oh boy. So it seems my chicken does not have a prolapse vent. We went to the vet Friday and the vet is not even sure what it is. It's starting to get feathers on it. He said to use preparation H on it over the weekend but if nothing changes they are going to cut it off on Monday. I really hope it gets past all this and gets better.
