Hen has large portion of skin missing/injured...

I would not use BluKote on her deep wounds. Maybe later after scabbing occurs and she is back with others to keep them from pecking. Right now she needs the plain Neosporin/Triple Antibiotic Ointment on her wound. You do not need to wrap it. An old tshirt could be tied to lightly cover the wound, or just leave it open. That is what most do with deep wounds.

BluKote is strictly for minor scrapes, nit deep wounds where the skin is missing. Eventually, keeping the wound coated and soft, the skin will grow todether. Here are before and after pictures of how well some wounds heal:

Just to say that I have had hens with similar injuries and in all cases they healed up very well without too much intervention. They were cleaned and treated and kept separate in our 'chicken hospital' (a smaller run and coop placed inside the run with the rest of the flock) but I never bandaged/covered them. I agree that this is a rooster injury.

After about three months, her wound has finally healed over all the way! Since we have removed the rooster from the flock no hens have been injured. Thank you so much to everyone who gave advice!
