I have a beautiful 5 month old Speckled Sussex that is not a hen after all. We are not supposed to have chickens in our neighborhood, although many of us do (HOA accepts it as long as they aren't a nuisance to neighbors). I hate to get rid of him, but I'm sure the rooster crowing will be a problem for at least one of my neighbors here who is home in the daytime. The rooster doesn't charge and peck at us and the hens keep him in line. He's fine around our kids. If anyone can take him to ideally give him a good home, that would be great.
