Hi there,
I posted a thread recently about a hen with a limp. Gimpy's limp has improved significantly- for the most part, she is putting weight on her foot, and walking normally. She does occasionally limp.
Upon examining her today, I noticed that the foot she had previously been refusing to stand on is slightly (very slightly) swollen. There is no sign of a scab, such as would indicate bumblefoot. I have also noticed that, of the 4 hens in my flock that are the same age, her comb / wattles are the smallest, and more lacking in color than anyone else's.
Due to the improvement in the gait, I haven't separated her from the flock. However, it's been a couple of weeks now. She also flopped over on her side a few times today, wing outstretched, as though it was easier to lay down than stand up.
Can you recommend any advice, treatments, or suggestions?
UPDATE: Pictures of her legs/feet posted below. Her legs do look a bit dry to me, but no different from the rest of the flock's. I see no sign of a bumblefoot pad.
