Hen with swollen foot

I have a hen from a close friend's grandparents and ive only had her about a week and ive noticed her toes/lower foot is swollen. I have no clue if its a break or something else but shes limping around trying to keeo weight off and i feel bad for her.

Several things can cause swelling a foot or toes, from frostbite,gout, bumblefoot, mycoplasma synovitis, to a sprain or broken foot. Look over the footpad for any dark spot that could be bumblefoot. Also, feel free to post pictures, since they may help more to find a cause.

yeah pics are always helpful, what some people discribe and what is seen in pics.......some one might nail it with a good quality pic.....my two cents, probably worth half that at best.
