URGENT injured leg/foot

My Easter egger chicken has been hoping around on her right foot for the past few weeks and something is wrong with either her left leg or foot. On the foot I don’t see and cuts but the toe in the back of the foot appears swollen and the scales tilted up. Also the leg appears to go to the side. Please tell me how to fix this and what this is.

The back toes does look a bit swollen.

Have you tried wrapping the leg and foot for support to see if that makes her more comfortable? You would want to check wrappings at least once daily and of course change more often if soiled or wet.

If you have vet care, that would be a good idea.

Check carefully if she has hurt the nail of her back toe. In your last picture it looks as if if might have come loose causing swelling and some scabbing.

You can soak her foot for 15-20 minutes in a warm bath with epsom salt to clean the toe for better assessment.
