Didn't know that. So I checked between my girls and sure enough my RR and WL horns that look ready I felt the difference.
Pretty cool. Just another way to tell.
Hold you hen facing away from you under your arm gently hold her feet and place you hand on their bottom. If the bones are close together not ready if they are separate eggs are close.
