Herding dogs?

does anybody know good herding dogs for goats and sheep?

What sort of herding work are you needing the dog to do? How many sheep/goats and how much land? Managing a small group on a small amount of property is going to be quite different from the amount of work one would need to be able to expect of the dog than moving a herd over vast areas of land. Or are you looking more for a guardian type of dog?

it would be on about five acres, and it would be some from three to ten goats, i mainly just need them to herd them into different corrals.

Australian shepherds are great for whatever you need them for. Instinctive herders and just overall smart dogs. Also very friendly.

We have two aussies. Very good at herding our goats and sheep as well as ducks, geese, turkeys.
Chickens, guineas and mini pigs dont herd so well even though they try and try and try.
Never had health issues with either.
