Hi!
So, we've been thinking about making a big move.
We live in Central Indiana, and raise Geese, Call Ducks, Bantam and Large Fowl Chickens, as well as a few Helmeted Guineas. They range on the 5 acre yard (and 6 acre pasture) all day (except for my little guys who I breed for hobby, which range in small pens), and then go into a locked barn at night.
I know there are some pretty big climate and predator differences between Indiana and Maine, so I was wondering how people that already live there keep their own birds safe and in good health? I have quite a few birds that I don't want to lose, and would hate to move them, only to have to watch as they all die due to the cold or some unexpected attack. Thanks!
