Are Danish Brown smaller than Rhode Island Red?

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've been thinking about it for some time and so was my friend. When I accompanied her to purchase her two she bought me my two 3rd weekend of March 2017.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Two hens

(3) What breeds do you have?

1 is Rhode Island Red other is Danish Brown

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google pointed me in this direction

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I have 4 dogs , gardening, creative arts

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work from home a few hours a week. I volunteer and love our library's Jazz Cafe (spoken word) poetry

I meant to add - yes, the two breeds you have are very different in build. The Danish Brown is a leghorn and are much lighter in body than the heavier breeds such as the RIR. This is what makes leghorns such popular choices for egg production as their "efficiency" (conversion of feed amount to number of eggs) is very high.

Thank you! At first I was a little concerned thinking Gumby the brown wasn't eating since they're so different. But she's been a feisty one since I picked her out. Precious the red was the gentle one. Both were pretty bold amongst the rest of the chicks running away.

Thank you! I never thought I would be able to live a chicken, but.... I don't really handle them except when they roost by my window. I can pet them and handle them and they're okay with it. I think because th window is at eye level.
