Collar or no collar?

A rooster would always be a rooster so he will find the way of crowing even with the collar. The collar will reduce the volume and frequency of crowing as it limits the force of the air and makes the crow quieter. Sorry to tell you that it will not stop him from crowing. I have the “no crow” collar on my ayam cemani and he crows all day just with lower pitch.

I'm going to try making a crow collar. I should have everything I need but if not, it's a just quick trip to Joann Fabric. We live in the country and could have a flock of roos, the only problem is my husband lol! He likes to sleep in on the weekends. I don't want to get rid of Everest, our friendly Americauna cockerel so we're compromising.

My area allows roosters, but they fall afoul (or afowl? ) of the same laws as a barking dog. The no crow collar has allowed me to keep both Penelope and the neighbors.
My concern is he started sneezing today, and of course his crow is raspy. Could the collar cause respiratory distress?
