Homemade heating pad Incubator + farmers market eggs (working!!)

Very cool! I have an old doesn't turn off heating pad but the darned thing has a bad thermostat now and low no longer means low. I can only use it for about 2 minutes. so I'm on the lightbulb system

Day 20: one of the eggs had piped internally and is peeping occasionally. im so nervous i need to just leave them alone
shouldn't the other eggs be piping to?

From what I've read about incubating eggs, it seems like having the humidity just right is a big factor - I'm wondering why that doesn't seem to be a factor here. Doesn't sound like you have any source of humidity in there? Have they been hatching with no problem? How many are there now?

If anything, the humidity might be a little too high. I put a moist towel in at lockdown and that helped. Its really humid where i live so that might also be a factor.
Two chicks have hatched so far, two eggs left. No pips but one egg is moving and peeping.
