How I Saved My Chicken After A Hawk Attack *GRAPHIC WOUND PICS*

I had left all the chickens out... They were in thier run... but not locked in their enclosed run.
I guess she was the easiest target :(
Since then I have made little shelters all over the run. If I see a hawk fly over, they are locked up right away and have to stay in the enclosed run unless I am outside with them.

Wow!

Great Job

This post gives me hope. My Saltan was attacked yesterday. Her wounds seem to be much deeper (in the same area of the neck) and I almost put her down but She is doing okay today and drinking.

I hope she can recover too!

I had some really rough roosters last fall and they tore the back of my BRs head open. I left her alone and it healed up really good. She has a funny skin tag on the back of her head, but it just gives her more personallity.

They can bounce back pretty well from traumatic events... amazing!

Keep us updated!
