How long does it take for a slipped tendon to heal?

My keet has been sitting in a sling/chair for the majority of the past 3 days and I've had a bendy-straw-cast on his leg for that time, so far, the tendon stays where it should be when the leg is stretched without the cast on, but as soon as the hock bends, the tendon slips off. Should I just keep the "cast" on how it has been the past couple days?

I have never had guineas but with baby chicks consider vitamins as perosis (if the slipped tendon is from that) can be from vit. deficiency:
