How long to separate a bully chicken

Unfortunately, she wasn't going broody and the attacks became worse and worse. For those curious, despite numerous attempts to isolate and reintroduce, she would come right back and start fighting. We finally re-homed her with a local friend and she said she's getting along well thanks to a rooster. I wish I'd rehomed her earlier as our eldest chicken suffered needlessly for months and the entire flock is happier.
