Seriously, a molt can go on that long? I thought that they would have a molt each fall? I don't remember them laying so little to nothing last year. Oh well.... I'm tried of buying eggs right now.

Even my husband has been calling around seeing if anyone had duck eggs for eating. He says if we're paying for eggs, might as well try to get the good stuff... duck eggs!!!

1 egg outa 5 hens during the winter its my first winter with chickens going good so far sometimes i get 2 eggs outa 5 hens in the winter

Wow I hate to say that my husband took two dozen to give to friends again this AM, we are getting 6 to 8 a day out of 7 birds. They love to get out everyday that is doesn't rain. More worms are happy chicks!

we haven't had a drop off of egg count yet.
Maybe we are just lucky.

Today as of 11am I've had 6 eggs when I get off at 3:30 and by 6 I should have 12-14 total!
