My seven girls are on a roll; so far March has been a stellar month:

6/6 they are all laying now. Finally. It was a long 22 weeks!!

Just 5 when I looked earlier today. Got 2 dozen yesterday but that's because we didn't gather them the day before. Not bad for 10 hens

4/5 but all brown. That means for sure that my Zelda is finally laying.

I got 1 egg today out of 7 bantams. They are 2 WCB polish, 1 D'uccle, 1 Sultan, 1 cochin, 1 sultan/d'uccle mix, and 1 other unknown/mix medium sized bantam. I actually average 1 egg every other day. I'm not sure sure which one is laying but the rest are a bunch of free loaders. Here are some of them from last summer. The adjacent coop with 9 heavy breeds is giving up around 6 eggs a day.
