WIth 2 nesting places left to count the hens are well on their way to a record here for this year. 19 so far.

7 from 16. Not up to summer production but certainly better than the 3-5 a week in the end of January and beginning of February.

Today so far I’m 2 for 6! A 66 gram leghorn egg and a 55 gram Faverolles egg!

23 today..... got 3 broody hens, 1 on ceramic eggs, 1 on empty nest, the last is on 14 guinea eggs...
I've got 30 something chicks hatched out in the house, I don't really need them to sit right now...

All of my ladies, Astrid, Ruffnutt and Sparkle are all laying, albeit sporadically at the moment. But today I got something from all three.

I gathered 41 eggs from my ladies today. One girlie didn't want to give hers up... I'm thinking she's debating going broody on me.
