How much do you think it would cost to build a 10' x 10' chicken coop?

I am almost done building a 12x20 coop that has a dirt floor and wire apron around the base. I believe It cost me about $850-$900 for everything. I have bought everything to complete it I just cant find enough time to finish it. It is built like a pole barn and has Rolled Roofing. Still needs to be painted though. I don't have an updated picture but It has wire on the rafters on the outside to keep coons out and a 2x6 running on the front side of the rafters. I will ad more windows this spring I couldn't find any cheap one for sale on craigslist. This will house my free range RSL Flock of about 60 hens.

My daughters and I built my 8 X 12 coop a few years ago, and it cost me about $500. It's always better to err on the side of building larger rather than smaller! Chickens have a way of becoming addictive!!

We built my chicken coop out of stuff we found laying in the alley and on vacant lots.  Election time is a great time to collect coop materials.  Politicians put up a lot of signs that they never seem to take down afterward.  Especially if they lose.

My hens live in the Obama "Hope" coop.  Hope they lay eggs.

My chickens have no idea nor do they care that they are living in a ghetto coop.

I am thinking of buying a wood shed kit from Lowes (just needs flooring and shingles). The kit is about 950 dollars, plus the prince of 4 sheets of OSB and 5 bundles of shingles. I figure buying the kit is a lot easier for this female to handle versus cutting the boards. I'm also going to have 10x24' outdoor run for the 20 hens I want.

I may have to price the lumber and see what is cheaper (adding in some for labor if I build it myself)
