I don't know if they are poisonous to chickens but we had goats. After our garden season was over one year, we opened up the garden to our goats. In a matter of 48hours we lost 3 goats due to the kidneys crystallizing from eating the tomato plants. The coop in Athens,Alabama gave us literature that confirmed what had happened. I no longer have any livestock but I continue to play it safe with my dogs. I just don't take any chances.
