I am sad-update

no roosters in this flock-no coons either, the dogs would have been tracking that the minute they hit the backyard, guess the only other possiblity is a hawk, haven't seen em lately,( I am in town) the couple (red tails) that hang out in the neighborhood are usually gone by now and I haven't seen em plus the blackbirds mob them ruthlessly , unless there was a coopers hawk thinking louise was smaller than she actually is. She isn't looking too good, if she makes it through the night and not improving I will take her to work with me and do the humane thing.

Awww! I'm so sorry about Louise. Are you keeping her in the house in a warm, quiet place and have you put neosporin or anything like that on her wounds? I've read about chickens having terrible wounds from predator attacks and they lived. Hope that's the case with sweet Louise.
