I got my first eggs today.

I have seven hybrid layer ducks and today I found 2 eggs. So the other girls should start producing quickly right?

I looked all over the yard and only found 2.

I know your excitement. Mine have just been laying about 3 or 4 weeks now. SO much fun!

Well I don't know what happened we got two eggs two days in a row and then nothing for two days. I hope they start back up cause I want an omlette.

I blame no eggs now on too much heat or some traumatic moment in their day that makes them unable to produce.....haha, gotta blame it on something!

Well I got only one today. How funny cause all seven are the same age!! but that makes four or two omlettes depends on how you look at it.

first eggs are always egg-citing

I'm pretty sure Jumper, my 17ish-almost 18 week old crested mallard layed her first egg today too!, it was real small, so not likely to be any of the other two mallard girls, plus Mouse is raising a baby, so that rules her out LOL
