I need chickens!!!

Hi I am from Clarksburg, WV and I am looking for some chickens to start in my backyard. I was a working mother who just quit my job to stay home with my children and I just bought a coop. I don't want to go through a hatchery and I am looking to buy local. Can anyone help me?!?

Welcome to BYC! I am a SAHM to three little ones and just started with chickens. Ours are eight weeks old. BYC had been a life saver, there are so many wonderful and knowledgeable people here!

Thank you! I hope I can get the hang of this. I am really excited. We are building our coop this weekend but I would like to get some birds locally.
