Just got 4 new baby chicks. Straight run chicks. Mixed breeds. Americauna, Welsummer, Wyandotte, Buff Orpington.
I was hoping to get at least 2 hens to go with the 3 I currently have . Well....this is a very active bunch. Lots of dive bombing and chest bumping going on. Soooo. My boys have already changed the name of the black one from Zoe to Dirty Dan. And they have changed the name of the lightest one from Lemon to Larry. I still feel that this one is my only chance of the 4 of being a hen, so I am still calling her Lemon. Stripe is definately a boy. I might be in denial about Arrow, anyone think she could still be a girl? They're all very cute!
Also, I believe Lemon is part Orpington and part something else. White body, red head and green legs, kind of a long straight tail
Stripe and Arrow part Welsummer? and?
Dirty Dan is supposed to be an Americauna mix. Would have loved for him to be a her for the pretty eggs.
Ideas? comments?
