I fired up the incubator for the 4H crowd last night. RIR's, Giants and Leghorns.

Im looking for a better Incubator if anyone has a lead on one...............

Looks like I am not getting fertile eggs at this time. Need to pluck the breeders but its going to be too cold to consider that.

Great pics. Now, 3 questions questions.
1. Will the "Brown" IA Blues, turn dark? I have never seen or heard of brown ones or is this an experiment?
2. How long did it take for everyone to sober up?
3. So whats up with that ring Kari??? That's the BIG question?

Some of them are naturally born brown - I think that's what started the folk tale that they were part pheasant. They will grow up to look like the one on the far left:

So many breeders and hatcheries cross birds with leghorns to improve their laying but it will show up. Are the brown ones good layers for you Kari?
