Ideal Poultry Layer Question

Of all the breeds listed on Ideal’s website, their eggs per year are listed about 40-50 eggs lower than I’ve seen as the number of eggs from other hatcheries.

Ex. Australorp says 260, others list as 300
Orpington says 156, others list as 200
Leghorn says 240, others say 300+
Easter Egger says 160, others say 220

Has anyone noticed your hens from ideal lay less eggs than from other hatcheries? Are they just underestimating? Are other hatcheries overestimating?

I had an order ready to call in, but I wanted to ask here before finalizing.

I don't do egg counts. But I haven't explicitly noticed my IDEAL birds lay less. I think it's more to be on the safe side if a specific individual is a poor layer

Also I was told by a very knowledgeable mean girl that the more broody layers will show a lower egg count.

The birds Ideal has don’t lay any less. They are just being cautious with their projections so people don’t get high expectations and get one bird that doesn’t lay 366 eggs a year.
