Ideas for Keeping rain out

I have roof vents in front and back. I also installed 2 Windows across from one another for a cross draft. But, I've been told I need more ventilation. I was wondering if I took the plastic off door windows and replaced with hardware cloth if that would help? I'm worried the rain would pour in though...how could I prevent that?

Depends on the roof overhang. Perhaps expanding the gable vent is another possibility, should be more protected there from rain

On my first coop, I made window covers that were hinged at the top. I left them all the way lifted in dry weather and propped them open in rainy weather. Kept out the rain perfectly and were super easy to make.

Louvered vent covers would work well in your coop, I would think.

I forgot to include a pic of front. I was wondering about using some sort of solar powered exhaust fan in one of the skylight holes too.

For more ventilation but still keeping security (your doors) I would cut out the triangle shaped section above the door and cover with hardware cloth. Both ends of coop if you can.

Some use furnace filters mounted to the open space. They will let the air flow thru but help stop the wind and rain.

I like what they did with the roof in this article. And they used a louvered vent and quick-release window covers to block rain.
