Maybe it helps to get mire replies and tips if you change the title (add doors) and if you add a picture of your coop?
Maybe open up a wall in the coop, add hardware cloth (½ “) for max ventilation in sumner. and add these doors to close the ventilation openings in winter. ?
An easy answer for enrichment in the run is to just make a tepee out of them. The chickens can perch on top, use the shade underneath, it’ll get a breeze through if you turn them the right direction relative to prevailing wind, and it would be a hiding spot while integrating new chickens.
Oh friends! Very creative but I’m looking along the lines of making a teepee or something. The coop has all the doors, holes and shutters it needs. ( and my very indulgent spouse may lose his mind if I request any more customization)
I have unlimited scrap wood, twine and chicken wire and limited skills with hammer, nail and power drill
Or put 4 legs under them so they're like small tables, and the chickens can run under them for shade or jump on top for a bit of height. Even small platforms seem appreciated by my flock.
