Hey y'all! I believe this guy is a little rooster. We were told he is a salmon faverolle mix (mom was the SF). When we first got him a few weeks ago he was so skittish and terrified of people that it worried me, he also wasn't in great shape and had several bald spots like it was being bullied hardcore. He's opened up since being around our super friendly chicks/hens who all flock to me for loving so he'll now allow me to touch him but still not able to pick him up without freaking out. Working on that but it's been good seeing the positive progress thus far. He's got absolutely beautiful colors coming in but I am 100% stumped on what in the world he's mixed with!! Any ideas are appreciated. Not that it really matters to us, more to satisfy my own curiosity! Also, if you think I could be wrong on being a rooster let me know.

He'd be an EE cockerel :) very pretty guy
Thank you! Can I ask how you're able to tell? Love my EE ladies but haven't had a roo before. Are there certain markings or features that make them obvious? Sorry if that's a dumb question- still learning!

No question is dumb :) ! An EE would have certain features that would like them to their colored laying ancestry. That can be muffs, beards, crests, or even the color of the legs. In the case of your guy, he definitely has a beard, I also think I see muffs, and in addition he seems to be rumpless, which would indicate the presence of araucana in his lineage

Gotcha! Thank you so much! He is rumpless and does have very prominent muffs, just couldn't get a good picture
