Incubating Question

My incubator was 99.5 degrees until I added the eggs and it staying at 97 degrees it been about half hour. Is this normal ?

Mine was the same way and I did a tiny adjustment and by morning was at 101 or so. I would give it til morning or at least 5 or 6 hours before adjusting it

Yes that is normal. I give the incubator a day to readjust, depending on how many eggs I have added. THe more, the longer.

If it hasn't went back up yet you could probably start adjusting it now but he very careful these dials are touchy just move it the tiniest bit

I finally got it right. another question how long to I need to wait to turn them for the first time ?

I believe most recommend turning 3 times a day, or more but use an uneven number, 3 times, 5 times, whatever. I use an auto turner that came with mine until the lockdown stage so I don't have to open and disturb the temp unless I want to candle.
