Loose minerals. Little one munches food stuffs and seems to detest the idea of a bottle.

That's why I usually chuck rotten eggs up in to the woods.

Grandkids and I did that with the rotten eggs from the five broodies last time. Should have seen the look on their faces when I told them they could throw them at the trees. Priceless.

I got five chicks (1 Barred Rock, 2 Dominiques, 1 Buff Orpington, and 1 Jersey Giant) and two keets today, so that's kept me busy!

I almost forgot to ask: does anyone know how long curled toes take to heal? My JG had very badly curled toes, so I made her bandaid and cardboard shoes, but they keep falling off. She has one shoe on now, and the other foot looks fine; should I put the other back on, or is it ok?

My kitchen smells lovely.
