I very rarely see snakes. Gator rousts them up and that's about the only time. Right now with it getting cold, they are looking for a warm place. Kind of like the field mouse influx we have this time of year.

Congratulations! I am still watching mine hatch. Those marans and OE's are hard to hatch, just the waiting is not fun.

Hahahahaha!!! No we let them go when we had Stella be a use it was not stable for a toddler so we got rid of the tank.

. I don't kill all of them. I had a total of 7 hatch out of 12 locked down....so you know!!

I'm starting my chicks off with a flip-open feeder and a 1-quart waterer, and will change over to a 7 lb. hanging feeder and a nipple waterer after a few days.




I'll be mounting one or two of these on the side(s) of a container for the few-day-old chicks, as well as replacing the vertical nipple waterer in the laying hen run.
