incubator

Got old incubator from parents, when I first started it up, it was little hot so I turned it down (uses metal bolt on top) now it doesn't go past 90 degrees. The heating element does get hot (don't ask how I know). Any ideas as to what to fix?

Are there plugs in there that may be open? I know how you know the element gets hot....( I have a blister to show MY ignorance )

Maybe try to turn it back up, just a little? Good luck, I hope you can get it regulated! What are you going to hatch? what breed?

It is very hard to turn that thing just a tiny bit at a time, and then you have to allow plenty of time to see what the temp is going to be. It takes lots of patience. I know, i have a still air little giant and it is hard to get it just right with that knob on top. Hard to turn it just a tiny bit. Hope you get it just right.
