I was almost proud of myself for resisting the temptation to set more eggs. I even sold the collection of hatching eggs I had saved up. I thought to myself, "What great self-control I have!"

Then today.....my little serama baby, hatched Dec 2nd, just laid her 1st egg.

How can I possibly resist collecting little serama eggs?! I keep telling myself, "Do NOT put them in the incubator." I'm just collecting them because they're so adorably cute. I must remind myself repeatedly, "Do not set any eggs until mid May!"

Three have already hatched and look great the 2nd and 3rd surprised me - I didn’t even see that they had pipped! My incubator is really hard to see into

I have no problem with it. But I do not have blackhead around here.

I hatched & grew out a few last summer. The poults were not very bright, so I think they did better having some chicken siblings to follow around. I did not keep the turkeys long term.

Not hard when you raise them with chicks. The hard part is trying not to fall in love with them lol. I think most of us fail that part
