Integrating Two flocks Older Chickens

I hope this opens again! In a few weeks I will be getting 12 Cornish cross. My chicken yard consists of 1 4 x 8 coop that my 4 older hens, two 4 week old chicks and 1 rooster have occupied forever attached is an 8x8 confined run. We Attached a fenced in area about 20x25 and at the other end is a 10x10 coop occupied by six 18 week old hens just staring to lay 1 turkey and 1 rooster. Our option is combining the two flocks in the 10x10 coop and putting the Cornish cross in the 4x8 coop. Or vice versa is my husbands suggestion since the older flock lay eggs in the smaller coop. But I thought it would be easier to raise the Cornish x in it where they would be more contained. Or another option would be to put them in a coop we bought at tractor supply when we first got chickens til they out grow which probably wouldn't be very long and then put them with the other chickens and not displace the existing flocks. Oh help!
Thanks
Connie
