Is big Bertha actually a girl

Really hoping my 7 week old Brahma is a girl. My daughter is in love with her. Just wondering what other people think. Thanks

I think so because it's comb ( the thing on the top of their head) is very small and that is a common sign about gender with my chickens

7 weeks old tomorrow. I have hatched 3 breeds and it's really obvious in the others I have 4 boys and 2 girls out of those but Bertha is an only Brahma so nothing to compare her against.

x2 If that comb is as red as it looks to me I'd guess a roo.

This is false for brahmas. Brahmas have pea combs instead of straight combs, so there is no way to differentiate hens and roos by looking at the size of it at this age.. It will be more clear in a few weeks or so..
