Hello, new here. I’m a bit new at figuring out chick breeds. So a couple weeks ago I got a chick from a man who sells chickens quite often. He said that this chick was an Easter Egger, but could be mixed? I’m aware that Easter Eggers aren’t a breed, more like a hybrid, but is there anyway to tell? This girl is estimated to be a month/a little over a month old. I’m thinking she may be part Cochin, but I’m not sure. She has feathered legs.

Pretty sure what he meant was that it has some physical similarities to an EE but he has a lot of different chicken breeds/crosses running together. Depending on what all he has, she may or may not have inherited a blue shell gene and there is no telling until she lays an egg. The feathered legs make it very unlikely that she had two EE parents so she would have a single blue shell gene at the most.
