Is this bumblefoot? Growth on foot...

You can use a disposable scalpel blade to lance it. First clean the skin with betadine, and after lancing, squeeze to try and get all the pus out. Clean again, apply some plain neosporin ointment, and a 2x2 gauze. Then wrap with vet wrap strips, but not too tight. It is always best to have everything laid out and ready, then get a spare pair of hands. Wrapping the bird in a towel can help to keep them calm. Here is an article with a video:

Okay, thanks. I think I can do this! Fingers crossed.

Should I skip the epsom salt baths, then? Also, where do you usually find betadine? I looked for it online, and my local Walmart sells it for $70 - $90 a bottle! If it normally costs that much, is there an alternative that you know of?

Thanks!! I checked the Wal-mart website for the pividone idodine too, and it was $40-$80, which wasn't the best of prices - but taking your advice, I found this on amazon.ca (Because I'm in Canada):

https://www.amazon.ca/Betadine-Solu...=UTF8&qid=1527040419&sr=8-2&keywords=betadine

It should be here in a few days, and it's just about $15 or so including taxes and shipping. Not bad! It's a spray, though, not a cream. Does that make a difference? If so, I can pay $25 and get the same kind that you linked on amazon.ca.

Since it will take a few days to ship, should I start giving her some epsom salt baths in the meantime? How long would you suggest, and how often?

Thanks so much! :)

Man...I just checked the rest of the chickens' feet, and I found another girl with TWO bumblefeet! Poor girlie. =(

I assume I'll have to do the surgery on these ones, with the cutting instead of just piercing. Even the one on the toe is hard and scabby. I'm going to have a tough time doing it, but in the scheme of things it shouldn't be too terrible...I'll just have to take this one step at a time.

I guess I'll start with the Epsom salt baths. Any advice would be more than welcome!!
