Well about 95% finished. My original thought was to leave the wheels off until I was ready to move it, but since I always build things that can withstand Gail force winds it weights a ton to have to lift the coop end to put the wheels on.

So I ended up building a skirt around the bottom and in doing so one of the wheels interferes with the run door. I'll be fixing that tonight after the girls are all tucked into the coop for the night.

Our 4 yr old though that because it's a tractor it should be painted Johne Deere green, so you could say it's our John Deere chicken tractor:

Overall it is 4ft wide x 8ft long x 5ft high.

The run itself is 4ft wide x 8ft long x 3ft high and 1 1/2ft under the coop

The coop itself is 4ft wide x 3ft long x 4ft high up the sides and an extra 1ft to the peak.

I must be the only one with this problem. All the tractors I see have NO ground clearance.

If I pulled that tractor on my lawn the leading bottom supports (2x4 in my case) would catch. I sanded and rounded the edge but in the end I needed 3 inches to clear roots, small bumps, etc.

So how does this pull?
