I've been initiated....

Came home from work a little while ago. I was in my bathroom, with the chicks (they're in my tub, for now). They are 6 days old, and I've been noticing that two of my chicks had what I would call 'partial pasty butt'. A buildup was occuring underneath the vent on two of my little Barred Rock biddies. And even though I *thought* they were both pooing, I decided to soak, and pick the fecal matter off. Okay, I was warned somewhere that they may make a large 'deposit' afterwards.... I guess I didn't figure it would be RIGHT IN MY HAND. Eww. But my question is this. The chick had diarrhea, and it was brown. The smell was HORRENDOUS. Should I be concerned about the diarrhea? She/he seems very perky, is eating and drinking, and keeping up with the other Barred Rock chicks I got at the same time.

It may have been built up in there. I would keep my eye on her for a bit but she is probably fine. One of mine did that to me too - looked like a pretzel

Brown on the outside and beige on the inside tube. EW!
