jalapeno went bad?

Ive taken on a small veggie garden this year consisting of tomatoes peppers cabbage lettuces etc.. this morning i went to look at the garden to make sure everything was going good(rained lastnight didnt want tomatoes in dirt) after fixing a couple things i went about my day well i just came back from the garden with a jalapeno that was bright and green this morning now it is half brown and squishy? What happened to this jalapeno? Its the only one that was on the plant! Was it todays heat 90 degrees ? Or lastnights rain? Possibly the combination of both? Anybody have this happen before?

No never seen it before but new to gardening in the south. I have been asking around when I get an answer I will post

Yes I've had it happen too. It could be blossom end rot. Usually caused by calcium deficiency, I googled Do peppers get blossom end rot and got lots of info. Good luck!

I found out it was worms

Unfortunatly i didnt pull the jalapeno apart before it ended up in the trash next time i will look for bugs! My cayenne peppers and super chili's are perfectly fine and healthy still same with the rest of the garden.
