Keeping Chickens entertained

Hope no one else posted this.....naw, I bet I'm the only sicko here....

My grandson the other day had one of those red laser beam keychains that he was driving my poor rat terrier nuts with. He had Jelly Bean chasing that dot all over the place, making him run in circles, putting it up higher on the wall to make him jump towards it, then back down to the floor and making him run back and forth from one side of the room to the other. It when on for a good 10 minutes before Jelly Bean had to take a nap.

I bet the chickens would have a blast with it.......

We play Worm Football by dropping an earthworm in a "jump ball" into a pack of juveniles.
The run around like crazy trying to keep it to themselves and play tug of war with it. I posted

At least once a week I hang a cabbage for a rousing game of Tether Cabbage.

I treat my birds occassionally to a bag of live crickets. Just dump a 100 crickets on the ground and watch the madness.

I was inspired by the photos earlier so I put a swing in my run, with some branches to sit on higher up and a big upper deck. Also got a big tarp and made a large covered area as we are now into the Wet Coast rainy period. Should be fun watching them today!
